Success Stories

“There is only one success - to be able to spend your life in your own way.” - Christopher Morley

Here’s where you’ll meet young people who are defining their own success. They’re setting their own goals and working to achieve them. It’s not always easy. But they’re living life after IEPs on their own terms. And they’re enjoying the journey.

We have much to learn from them.

New stories will be added regularly. Want to know about new additions? Sign up for our free monthly transition news and resources.

Hello Mary,

I love the work you are doing and the success stories that you have shared. I know that they will be well received by parents, educators and advocates who are looking for hope and support.

I have posted this article on https://www.facebook.com/AnIepForMe and will repost it on https://www.facebook.com/Believeinarayofhope.

Finally, I will also share your website with my son, Robert, who is also enjoying success after many years of struggle.

With much appreciation,
Doreen

Thanks so much Mary! I am putting together resources for Moms, Educators and Advocates and plan to add your website and highlight the resources/tools you have here.
At your convenience, I would love to interview you on Relationships and Recreation. While my son, Robert, is very interested in getting a job and making good money, he is also very interested in finding connections and fun activities.

I sense that there are many young adults looking for the same thing and many Moms out there who would welcome the ideas you have to offer on helping them to make these meaningful connections to the activities and people who share similar interests.

Thanks again Mary for all you do!!
Doreen

Doreen, I would thoroughly enjoy a conversation with you about relationships and recreation! Enjoying time with people who share similar interests is such an important part of life!

I’ll be in touch and look forward to our conversation. Also, I was delighted to see this post on Believe in a Ray of Hope about Robert - the Worker Wiz! Your son is a clearly a conscientious and ambitious entrepreneur! http://bit.ly/K2mB8N
I’m grateful for your encouraging spirit - and all you do for moms and young people, Doreen. Thanks!
